The project “Innovative practical teaching in agriculture” aims to increase the quality of practical training in the Agricultural School “Šumatovac” which is of particular importance and priority to the development of agriculture in Serbia. With this project, through the development of quality education and international cooperation, vocational schools in Serbia will:
– Update curricula and programs for practical training in accordance with the needs of employers and agricultural producers under requirements of the European labor market. Based on the experience of the project participants, the local farms in Serbia will be included in the implementation of the latest trends, technologies and methods of work in agriculture and
agribusiness; One of the results of the project is also the experience gained in the preservation of agro environmental protection in the field of organic farming, organic production, the demand for environmentally friendly products and expansion of rural tourism.
The mobility involved 17 students from 2nd to 4th grades of the following educational profiles: Veterinary technician, Agricultural technician and Operator- mechanic of farming machinery, accompanied by 2 teachers of practical training in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine. Selected students and teachers at the school will learn about the tradition, culture, customs, Bulgarian language and its similarity to Serbian. Preparatory work is performed by 2 Bulgarian teachers who work in schools. During mobility, students will be recruited for 6 hours each day – 3 and 3 hours. There will be a cultural program planned for the weekend.The participants learn about mobility, with staff IVEM LIFE LTD and the conditions of agribusiness in the municipality of Sandanski. They become familiar with the activities, conditions and instructions for safe working conditions on farms and establishing work rules Introduction to basic methods applied in organic agriculture and organic farming.
